Library NewsUpdated: November 13, 2008 Scrapbookers, crafters, gift-givers, please note! A program on the art of "Altered Books" will be presented at the Little Chute library on Thursday, November 20 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Check out the Programs calendar for details. Please note: registration is required. How much is your library worth to you? Calculate the number of library items or services you use in a month and see how much it would cost if you had to purchase the same thing yourself. New software is now available on the public PCs that allow patrons to sign up to use a computer if all computers are in use. Computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis with your library card and PIN. In addition, a 15-minute Express computer is now available for those who simply want to check e-mail or only need to use a computer for a few minutes. Wireless Internet access is available in both libraries! Please see the section on Internet Use and Wireless Use policies to use this new service.
Days to remember in November
Keep your e-mail address current with the library in order to receive notices that your requests have arrived, get courtesy notices the day before an item is due, and overdue notices if your items are late (see Online Forms). As with other library information, the privacy of your e-mail address and communications are protected under state law (Wis. Stat. 43.30). They will never be given away, sold, or traded to a third party. |
