The Village of Kimberly will be commemorating their Centennial (100 years  as a Village) in 2010. 

Planning is underway for a weekend celebration to be held on September 10-12, 2008.

You are invited to share your talent in the creation of a logo, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Village of Kimberly in 2010.

Entries may be submitted between Oct 1, 2008 and  Dec. 31, 2008 at the James J. Siebers Library at 515 W. Kimberly Ave. in Kimberly. 

Entries must include the person's name, address, and telephone number.

Entries should be no larger than 8-1/2" x 11", and we must limit one entry per person.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three logos as judged by the Centennial Planning committee. The decision of the judges is final and all entries become the property of the Village of Kimberly for promotional use.

Volunteer Opportunities

An organizing committee has begun the planning process for our celebration in September, 2010.  We are seeking individuals and organizations to be a part of the planning and execution of this once in a lifetime celebration of the Village of Kimberly.

We are looking for groups or committees to tackle the responsibility of planning for the following festivities:
 
• Parade
• Centennial Ceremony
• Creation of a commemorative booklet
• Ecumenical Service
• Fund Raising
• Time capsule
• Food and beverage concessions
• Entertainment
• Games & Activities
• Essay contest
• 100th Anniversary souvenirs 
 
Any and all volunteers are welcome, and we are especially hoping that civic groups may consider "taking on" a portion of the celebration and making it their contribution to the festivities.
